Engagement Manager - US
724 Solutions is a software company headquartered in Santa Barbara, California.
We deliver reliable, scalable technology and solutions that allow mobile network operators to rapidly deploy next-generation IP-based network and data services. Our products and solutions solve complex problems using very innovative component based technology including internet protocols and SMS and MMS messaging.
To serve as 724 Solutions’ senior delivery manager responsible for the successful implementation of 724’s wireless data services products and solutions. More specifically, a 724 Engagement Manager is expected to:
- Manage all aspects of solution delivery including; developing and overseeing project plans and managing delivery schedules and staffing requirements.
- Coordinate with 724’s Sales Executive and liaise between 724’s customer and all other organizations within 724 (eg: Product Management, Product Development, Support, etc.) as required.
- Provide sales cycle support by assisting with RFP responses, customer presentations, and scope definition.
Primary responsibilities of the job
- Manage project resources to insure that timelines and milestones are on schedule.
- Monitor quality of work and insure that customer expectations are being met at all levels. Develop Statements of Work and Change Requests as new opportunities and / or enhancements evolve.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required in this position
The ideal person for this position is a senior project management professional with a background in mobile network operator solutions. This individual should have an ability to engage a Customer in discussions related to business and solution requirements and an ability to take a conceptual understanding of future requirements and translate them into a defined scope of activities with schedules, planned deliverables, resource requirements, and pricing, and an ability to communicate them effectively to others within 724.
- Experience working in a professional services and/or consulting organization managing external customer projects and delivering mission critical solutions to the wireless marketplace.
- Demonstrated experience successfully delivering large complex projects at client sites.
- The ability to multi task, with excellent communication/presentation skills.
- Well developed customer management, interpersonal, and problem identification/resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with a Sales organization.
- Ability to identify, scope, and assist with RFP responses, pre-sales activity and in selling additional services.
- In-network wireless solution experience (vs. for example, billing or traditional IT solutions experience in a Mobile Network Operator).
Other requirements of the job
- An ability to travel internationally may be required. Candidates should expect the amount of travel to be 50% but this is driven by many different factors; customer location, customer preference for on or offsite development, which product is being implemented, and phase of the project.
