Introduction
724 Solutions' Seamless Follow-Me Messaging Solution is an any-to-any next generation messaging solution that enables subscribers to communicate with each other and with services irrespective of technology or messaging domain. 724’s Seamless Follow-Me Messaging allows messages to follow a subscriber as the subscriber moves across domains, allowing those messages to be delivered to them in the appropriate context for the device they are using at that point in time. Survey Summary
724 Solutions conducted further industry end-user research around the value of Seamless Follow-Me Messaging features while at CTIA Wireless 2008 on April 1-3. Over 100 responses were collected from CTIA attendees after they experienced 724's Seamless Follow-Me Messaging via a live demonstration.
- Highlights from the survey:
- Approximately 80% of respondents indicated Business users would find “High Value” in Follow-Me Messaging services.
- 93% of respondents indicated that Consumer users would prefer to keep their current identities (ie. Mobile number identity and/or Instant Messaging Identities, etc) and have Seamless Follow-Me Messaging services work on their current, existing devices, without the need to download a new device client.
- 86% of respondents indicated Consumer users would upgrade to a premium messaging bundle price plan if it included “Follow-Me” Messaging, and over 70% of respondents indicated a consumer would pay more for the feature per month.
